We are looking for an Assistant Broker to join our Pasadena office!
The Assistant Broker provides support to property & casualty (P&C) broker units by handling routine rating, endorsements, new business/renewals and other basic broker functions.
The duties of the Assistant Broker will include:
Process (P&C) new business/renewals and endorsements for assigned accounts and handle basic (P&C) broker analysis for some routine new and renewal business applications.
Communicate with appropriate colleagues about (P&C) needs, changes or concerns regarding assigned accounts.
Maintain records of property & casualty (P&C) losses, endorsements or other pertinent information on assigned accounts.
Understand key components of common products in the property & casualty line of business or insurance segment.
Accurately enter all risk and exposure information into broker rating system following the company's filed rules, rates and broker appetite to calculate premiums which adequately reflect applicant's exposure all while remaining within given broker authority.
Maintain knowledge of broker rates, rules and guidelines on assigned programs, products, and geographic regions as well as knowledge on overall company workflow, procedures and products
Successful candidates will have the following:
•High School Diploma or equivalent
•Strong customer service skills
•Excellent organizational and time management skills
•Results oriented and demonstrate a strong sense of urgency
•Strong PC skills
