Duties

We are looking for a HR Manager to join our team.

This Senior Human Resources position will support the Claims Unit – providing support to business units in staffing, recruiting, employee counseling, and administration.

A typical day will include the following:

  • Handles employee relations issues and exit interviewing.
  • Conducts organizational effectiveness assessments and recommends programs to address issues.
  • Develops and administers compensation programs; monitors performance evaluation programs and revises as necessary.
  • Makes recommendations to senior management on issues concerning employees, recruiting, turnover or training.

Other duties may include:

  • Leads the department in establishing goals and objectives that align with the overall business direction.
  • Advises managers on all aspects of HR and monitors career management programs and employee relations counseling.
  • Works with senior staff to set priorities and direction of HR initiatives.
  • Manages HR staff and monitors individual performance and development. 
  • Ensures effective communication of issues, operating plans and responsibilities among location personnel, management and the corporate office to facilitate efficient and effective execution of HR programs.

Qualifications

Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, Business Management or equivalent.
Ten plus years of increasing scope and complex responsibilities in HR.
SPHR or PHR Certification Preferred.
Knowledge of Federal, State, and Local laws, regulations and requirements regarding employment and employment activities.
