Duties

We are looking for a Product Development Specialist to join our team

Summary:
Research competitors and be cognizant of changes that may affect business and develop full knowledge of commercial lines products including guidelines and coverages.
Be aware of legal changes that may affect business.  Develop rate, rule and forms for new product implementation.

A typical day will include the following:
Develop and/or amend forms as needed.
Attend professional seminars during the year as required.
Respond to rate, rule and form questions.
Maintain a partnership with claims, underwriting, loss control and actuarial departments to ensure everyone is aware of current product projects.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or higher degree from a four-year college, University or Graduate School, preferred.

Commercial underwriting experience preferred.
