This position is responsible for assisting the new business brokers during the term of an account as well as handling accounts through the renewal and life of a policy. This role involved extensive interaction with Independent Insurance Agents, producers, and Carriers. Broad product knowledge of both PHLY insurance company and other carrier partners is required. This position also requires excellent customer service capability from a renewal perspective and should target 90% renewal retention. Review insurance applications to evaluate, classify, and rate individuals and groups for insurance and accept or reject applications within delegated underwriting authority by performing the following duties:

  • Become an AMS Software expert and create AMS software training for future employees. Enter all accounts into AMS to ensure accurate monthly reports.
  • Document all brokered business policies  and account communication on the AMS360 Software
  • Underwrite and price business according to delegated underwriting authority and guidelines; be sure to refer accounts outside of underwriting authority to the appropriate brokered market manager with recommendations.
  • Follow all standard operating/production procedures and Code of Business Conduct as defined by management, making continuous recommendations for improvement.
  • Communicate with field representatives/independent agents by following Marketing procedures to obtain further information.
  • Review and approve changes or questions on coverage or exposures.

Definition of Duties:

  1. Manage process of renewing accounts 60-90 days prior to expiration date.
  2. Regularly reporting renewal report and escalating large renewal opportunities to management.
  3. Remarketing accounts as outlined by management.
  4. Handle all policy change endorsement associate with assigned accounts.
  5. Audit processing and disputes

High School graduate; minimum 1 year’s industry experience; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted
